    Our stories are so similar!!!
I competed in my first fitness competition April 29, 2017. I was diagnosed 6 days later. I have recently had bilateral masectomies with expanders placed on 7/25/17 and am waiting to see the oncologist this Thursday. Tamoxifen scares the crap out of me because of all the terrible side effects. My goal is to compete inApril 2018.
I approached it the same way you did. Worked out everyday Imcluding the day before surgery. I have exceeded expectations. But what happens next scares me.
